Important
- To prepare according to this recipe, it's important to use only PREMIUM quality flour. We recommend: PREMIUM QUALITY FLOUR "MOARA CU TRADIȚII 1KG"
Preparation method:
The first step you need to take is to prepare the dough. Mix all the dry ingredients, the flour with the pinch of salt, sugar, and baking powder. Now add the diced butter and start kneading until the mixture is homogeneous. To achieve the perfect consistency for rolling out the dough, you can moisten the mixture with a little water, so that you get an elastic texture that is easy to handle. Roll out the dough on a baking sheet and leave it in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
The next step is preparing the filling. Pit the plums and mix them with cinnamon and sugar, then let them sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to combine. During this time, take the dough out of the refrigerator and divide it into two pieces, one for the tart base and the other for the decorative top. Roll out the bottom part into a circular shape, and with the help of a rolling pin, place the dough, leaving the edges of the tray covered.
Prick the base of the dough with a fork and pour the plum mixture on top, leveling it nicely.
At this point, all that's left to do is the lattice on top. For this, cut strips of dough about a finger thick and intertwine them to form the tart's cover. The final step is to brush the dough with egg yolk for an appetizing color and extra crispiness.
Bake the tart in the oven for about half an hour at 180 degrees Celsius and let it cool before serving. You will see that the aroma and warmth of the freshly baked tart will attract all the curious family members to the kitchen.
Enjoy your meal!
